The "Recycle Caddy" Assembly Support for Both Models

ESTIMATED TIME TO ASSEMBLE:
  • ABOUT 25 MINUTES

TOOLS NECESSARY:
  • Pliers — helpful hint: a 10 mm socket and an adjustable wrench makes it very easy
  • Screwdriver or Philip’s head
  • Helpful Hint: because of the tight tolerance between the drilled holes and the bolts, an electric screwdriver is
helpful. The tight tolerance reduces play over continued
    use.

PARTS — ORDER OF ASSEMBLY:

  • For Model 0001RC (Red with casters) bolt the wheels and the lower tray to lowest drilled hole on the frame; bolt Model 0005G tray (Green with Rubber stoppers) to the lowest hole on the frame
Note: The drilled hole above it is for the wheel bolts only on Model 0005G, Model 0001RC uses the lowest drilled hole for the wheels and the lower tray with the casters

  • Helpful Hint: In rare cases, disconnecting the 2 “tension bars” from one side of the frame will make assembly easier. This will allow the frame to be more flexible and allow the tray and frame to be bolted together.

  • Helpful Hint: Do not over tighten the nuts to the bolts. Tighten gently. They are “lock nuts” and will not loosen.

  • Now assemble the two support brackets to the tray
and the frame. Connect the brackets to the outside of the tray and to the inside of the frame.

  • Now assemble the upper tray and support brackets — complete the process as described for the lower tray and support brackets.

  • Wheels - Click to Enlarge Wheels Each wheel is assembled to the frame by the longest bolts in the hardware kit. For Model 0005G put 1 washer on the bolt, then put the bolt through the wheel and then put on 2 washers and then put wheel bolt through the drilled frame hole and add one washer and the nut. Tighten gently. (Bottom hole on Model 0001RC, second from the bottom on Model 0005G). For Model 0001RC put on 1 washer then put the bolt through the wheel, put on 2 washers and then connect the tray by putting the wheel bolt through the tray. Now add one washer and the tighten the bolt gently making sure the wheels rotates. on

  • Recycle Caddy WheelNow put on the remaining washer (as described in the assembly instructions). Now gently tighten the wheel bolts allowing the wheel to turn freely.

  • Now reconnect the “tension bars”. Remember - the “tension bars” have 3 positions of adjustment. If your recycle bin needs more room because of the width, you can adjust the “tension bars”.
